Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Courthouse and Detention Center are heated by a steam system that is supplied by a city supplier, the steam is stepped down to a usable temperature utilizing high pressure valves and routed to individual radiator units; and,
WHEREAS, the specialized high pressure valves, bellows, and pilot valves needed to rebuild and repair the County's radiators are proprietary items manufactured by Control Products, Inc. of Fenton, MO; and,
WHEREAS, Pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the purchase of steam HVAC parts from Control Products, Inc., of Fenton, MO, as a sole source; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation, with $65,000.00 of estimated annual spending; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that a contract be awarded as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing to Control Products, Inc., of Fenton, MO; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to give effect to this award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
