Body
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Justice has awarded a grant to the Drug Task Force in the amount of $243,085.73, which the Task Force will use to fund four full-time contractual narcotics officers, one chemist, and a leased vehicle to assist in the investigation of federal and/or state criminal charges related to drug-related crimes; and,
WHEREAS, this grant is subject to a local match in the amount of $81,028.57; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary to place the matching and grant funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and hereby are made:
