Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. PW 08-2004 for the 2004 Pavement Maintenance Phase 6, Project No. 3019; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon, bids from the following:

Musselman & Hall Contractors $102,828.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Vance Brothers, Inc. $111,552.80
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Musselman & Hall Contractors of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund this award, a transfer is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works be and hereby is authorized to adjust the contract line item quantities provided that, in doing so, there is no additional financial obligation to the County; and,
