Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Youth Services, has awarded a grant to the Family Court Division of the Jackson County Circuit Court for its Community Restitution Diversion Program; and,

WHEREAS, the Community Restitution Diversion Program provides a means for restitution by juvenile offenders through community service and requires the offender to attend a Victim Impact Panel to learn how crime affects victims and their families; and,

WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the grant funds in the proper spending account for use by the Family Court Division; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2007 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
