Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to 249.430 et seq., RSMo 1994, the Legislature did, on January 4, 1982, adopt Ordinance 929, creating Sewer District 99, known as Countryside West Sewer District, which district is generally located north of Highway 40, south of the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad right-of-way, west of Lake Tapawingo, and east of Bellemere Road; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of the Public Works Department has determined that it is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County that the boundary of said district be extended to allow for the construction of sanitary sewerlines in an area generally located adjacent to the south boundary of said district, as is more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to 249.490, RSMo 1994, the Director of the Public Works Department recommends that the boundaries of Sewer District 99 be altered to include said tract; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature deems it necessary to alter the boundaries of Sewer District 99 as recommended, for sanitary purposes; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the boundaries of Countryside West Sewer District 99 be and hereby are altered to include the land described in the attached Exhibit A...Attorney
Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
