Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 5115, dated July 16, 2018, the Legislature did appropriate funds in acceptance of the 2017 Byrne Justice Assistance (JAG) Grant; and,
WHEREAS, this extension will allow for the continued partial funding of one data and information analyst for the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has recommended a one-year extension of the grant period to allow for the continued distribution of grant funds to the City of Kansas City, MO, for the Neighborhood & Services, Graffiti Abatement, and Kansas City No Violence Alliance program areas; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that a one-year extension to the JAG Grant be and is hereby is approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all County officials be and are hereby authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to give effect to this extension.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
