A RESOLUTION awarding a term and supply contract on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200317 for the furnishing of blue grass and zoysia sod for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to EZ Enterprises/Greenhaven Sod of Riverside, MO ($13,000.00) and Sod Shop, Inc., of Olathe, KS ($5,000.00), to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period, in the estimated aggregate amount of $18,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200317 for the furnishing of blue grass and zoysia sod for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, after evaluation of the bids submitted, he has recommended that the contract be split and awarded to the vendor submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the following vendors:
VENDOR ESTIMATED AWARD
EZ Enterprises/Greenhaven Sod $13,000.00
Riverside, MO
Sod Shop, Inc. $5,000.00
Olathe, KS
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriation to the using spending agency has heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
