Body
WHEREAS, Captain Richard Rodgers succeeded former Chief Charles Iseman, officially taking the helm as Chief of Police for the City of Grandview, Missouri on May 23, 2026, after a special pinning ceremony held by the Board of Aldermen; and,
WHEREAS, Rodgers brings over 25 years of experience to his new position; and,
WHEREAS, he joined the department in 1999, and has worked in every division, including 14 years in command roles where he led the administration division and the SWAT team; and,
WHEREAS, beyond his service, Rodgers has dedicated many hours to the classroom, earning a Bachelor of Science in Police Administration from Park University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, Richard Rodgers is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy (Class #252) and has served with the Honor Guard and Field Training Program; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Jackson County Legislature celebrates Richard Rodgers on his accomplishments and new role as Police Chief of the City of Grandview.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
