WHEREAS, the County and the City of Kansas City, Missouri, jointly requested proposals for the furnishing of energy performance contracting services for use by both entities at their buildings in the downtown Kansas City government complex; and,
WHEREAS, proposals were received from the following:
VENDOR
AMSI, Inc.
Miami, FL
Unicom Energy Services, Inc.
Merriam, KS
Johnson Controls, Inc.
Lenexa, KS
and,
WHEREAS, a joint evaluation team, consisting of city and county officers and employees, as well as private consultants, recommend that contracts be awarded to Johnson Controls, Inc., of Lenexa, KS, for the reason that its proposal best met the primary objectives of the project, which include the implementation of energy conservation measures, with guaranteed energy, water, operations, and maintenance savings; and,
WHEREAS, under the team's recommendation, the County would execute the following contracts with the vendor:
