Body
WHEREAS, it has become necessary, in connection with the Tudor Road and Scruggs Road Improvement Project No. N46-B, to acquire right-of-way, permanent drainage and temporary construction easements through a portion of Prairie Lee Lake Park; and,
WHEREAS, the easements requested, which are described in the attached Agreement, are a permanent right-of-way totaling 26,492.23 square fee, a permanent drainage easement across land totaling 3,400.70 square feet in area, and a temporary construction easement across an additional 27,111.94 square feet of land; and,
WHEREAS, the National Park Service and the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department have reviewed these easement requests and have no objections; and,
WHEREAS, the granting of these easements is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached agreements with the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
