WHEREAS, the County did enter into a contract, with one subsequent amendment, for engineering services with Pars Consulting Engineers, Inc., of Overland Park, KS, for the R.D. Mize Road Improvements Project, No. 3013, as a professional services agreement, at a total cost to the County not to exceed of $319,993.75 to date; and,
WHEREAS, Amendment No. 2, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary to cover changes in the scope of the project, and said Amendment will result in an increase to the contract in an amount not to exceed $8,230.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute Amendment No. 2 to the contract with Pars Consulting Engineers, Inc., of Overland Park, KS, for the R.D. Mize Road Improvements Project No. 3013; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the agreement, and all amendments thereto.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
