Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4064, dated November 24, 2008, the Legislature did approve the 2008 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG), received from the U. S. Department of Justice; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the U.S. Department of Justice now desire to extend the grant to continue to provide funding for salaries and benefits for the employees of the Jackson County Drug Court through September 30, 2012, at no additional cost to the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the 2008 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant, received from the U. S. Department of Justice, be and hereby is extended until September 30, 2012; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Prosecuting Attorney and all other County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to the execution.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
