Body
WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Justice has awarded the County and the Cities of Blue Springs, Grandview, Independence, Kansas City and Raytown a grant in the total amount of $1,032,422.00 to provide for anti-drug and other crime control measures for the period of October 1, 2005 to September 30, 2006; and,

WHEREAS, the County Legislature did by Resolution 15466, dated April 18, 2005, authorize the County Executive to execute an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the cities of Blue Springs, Grandview, Independence, Kansas City and Raytown as part of the grant application requirements wherein the County was designated as the fiscal agent for distribution of the grant award proceeds ("Grant Application Agreement"); and,

WHEREAS, the Grant Application Agreement sets forth the authorized use of the grant award proceeds as follows:
