Body

WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation and Public Works Departments have a continuing need for John Deere industrial equipment, replacement parts, and related services; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing, pursuant to Section 1040.4 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the award of a term and supply contract for the furnishing of the needed equipment, parts, and service for use by these departments to Murphy Tractor and Equipment of Kansas City, MO (Jackson County), under an existing government contract of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, Contract No. EV00000145, to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming twelve-month period; and

WHEREAS, Section 1064., Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such award in excess of $25,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the proposed purchase to the County Legislature for approval; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to t...
