Body
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Enhancing Active Resiliency Through Healthy Sports Participation project is to provide youth with community-based pro-social activities where they will meet role models, learn pro-social skills, participate in pro-social activities, and receive positive recognition which will solidify their re-integration into the community; and,
WHEREAS, the Family Court Division has been awarded a grant for this program in the amount of $25,000.00 by the Office of State Courts Administrators for the period January 1, 2008, through December 31, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2008 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
