Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission was empowered by Ordinance 1771, 1795 and 1941 to make recommendations to the Legislature for the expenditure of Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds for the purposes of treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders; and,
WHEREAS, The Salvation Army received funding through Resolution #10679, dated February 21, 1995 in the amount of $37,960 for its social detoxification program upon the recommendation of the Fiscal Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has carefully reviewed a proposal from The Salvation Army for additional services to County and funding for them; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has recommended an increase in services and additional funding in the amount of $37,960 for The Salvation Army's proposal; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chair of the Fiscal Commission is hereby authorized to enter into the attached addendum to agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with The Salvation Army; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
