Body
WHEREAS, the County and the City of Grain Valley are parties to an Agreement whereby the County has agreed to apply County road and bridge funds that are due to the City of Grain Valley, Missouri, under the County Urban Road System (CURS) program to road and bridge projects within the City of general County interest and benefit as mutually identified by the City and the County; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Grain Valley has adopted a resolution declaring the Old Highway 40 Bridge Project as a City CURS priority; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works now recommends that the County concur in this designation and apply County CURS funds due the City of Grain Valley to this project; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Old 40 Highway Bridge Project be and hereby is approved as a CURS priority project within the City of Grain Valley, Missouri.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
