Body
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City Water Department has requested that the County grant two permanent utility easements for water mains and appurtenances along Ewing Avenue, north of US 40 Highway, in Kansas City located on Jackson County property; and,
WHEREAS, if granted, the Ewing Avenue permanent utility easements will be on the east side of Ewing Avenue measuring 5,026 square feet more or less and the west side of Ewing Avenue measuring 13,094 square feet more or less; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City Water Department will use the easements to connect the existing east water mains with new water lines for the new Jackson County Detention Center and the west water mains will connect to future waterline connections to an adjacent tract of land owned by Kansas City, MO; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that said permanent utility easements in favor of the City of Kansas City Water Department are hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the easements on behalf of the County.

Effective Date: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
