Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16286, dated May 7, 2007, the County and the City of Kansas City did enter into a Cooperative Agreement to provide for the expenditure of County bond funds on certain projects within the City's city limits, including the 135th Street Improvements Project, No. 3084; and,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4336, dated August 22, 2011, the Legislature did authorize an appropriation in the amount of $269,430.00 in acceptance of funds from the City of Kansas City and authorized a Cooperative Agreement with the City for the County to manage the design of the project through right-of-way acquisition, negotiations, and final design; and,
WHEREAS, as part of Phase 1 of this project, a storm line railroad crossing will need to be bored under the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) tract and existing easement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City will execute the attached Pipeline Crossing Agreement with UPRR and the County will be responsible for payment in the amount of $5,300.00 for license and permit review fees for the proposed storm line crossing; and,
WHEREAS, this project will benefit of the citizens of Kansas City, Missouri and the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to issue a check in the amount of $5,300.00 to the Union Pacific Railroad Company; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute any and all documents...
