Body
WHEREAS, Sherry Ray is a licensed practical nurse on the Alzheimer's unit at Jefferson Health Care; and,
WHEREAS, because of the excellent care she provides to Alzheimer patients, Sherry was given the 1998 Eldon & Elba Shively Caregiving Excellence Award for Missouri; and
WHEREAS, the award was presented by the Heartland Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association; and,
WHEREAS, Sherry has worked at Jefferson Health Care since 1993 and is considered very courteous and gentle with the patients at the health facility; and,
WHEREAS, Sherry was nominated for this award by Pat Winsor whose mother, Anna Bennett, was the recipient of Sherry's compassionate care until she died in December 1998; and,
WHEREAS, Sherry is to be commended for her commitment to Alzheimer's patients and their families; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Sherry Ray upon becoming the recipient of the 1998 Eldon & Elba Shively Caregiving Excellence Award for Missouri and for her ongoing commitment and compassionate care to Alzheimer's patients...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
