Body
WHEREAS, Section 1040.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competiti e bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1063.00 of the Code requires notification of and approval by the Legislature on s ch sole source purchases exceeding $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends a contract with C.G.D. Inc. of Cannon Falls, MN, for t e furnishing of Hydro Bikes for use by the Parks and Recreation Department for rental by the depar ment's patrons at 30% of the gross rental revenues to Jackson County up to $22,000.00 and 40% abov this amount; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director further recommends that he not take competitive bids with regard o said contract for the reason that C.G.D. Inc. of Cannon Falls, MN is the only known supplier of ydro Bikes for rental; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recomm nded by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County a contract with C.G.D. Inc. of Cannon Falls, MN for the furnishing of Hydro Bikes for use by the Parks and Recreation Department for rental by the department's patrons at 30% of the gross rental revenues to Jackson County up to $22,000.00 and 40% above that amount.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
