Body
WHEREAS, the students of Paseo Academy of Fine Arts recently traveled to Chicago, IL, to participate in the National Heritage Competition, a prestigious national invitational competition for which schools from all over the world gather to showcase their talents; and,
WHEREAS, the Choir of Paseo Academy garnered two Gold ratings for its outstanding performances, showcasing exceptional vocal abilities and musical excellence; and,
WHEREAS, the Band of Paseo Academy emerged triumphant by winning the coveted Instrumental Sweepstakes award, attaining the highest score among all ensembles in attendance, a testament to its remarkable instrumental prowess; and,
WHEREAS, Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts is recognized as a Signature School of Kansas City Public Schools, providing students with a comprehensive education in various artistic disciplines, including dance, visual and graphic arts, fashion and costume design, broadcasting and video production, instrumental and vocal music, theater/drama, technical theater, and creative writing; and,
WHEREAS, the esteemed faculty members at Paseo Academy possess extensive backgrounds in the arts and are devoted to offering students exceptional educational opportunities through a diverse range of creative experiences; and,
WHEREAS, the presence of celebrated writers, artists, actors, musicians, and dancers from both local and national backgrounds enhances the learning environment at Paseo Academy, providing additional instruction as artists-in-residence, lecturers, and master teachers; and,
