Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 11170, dated February 20, 1996, the Legislature did award a three-year contract for the maintenance of the MIS Department's mainframe hardware to Computer Consultants of Kansas City, KS, in the annual amount of $58,520.40; and,

WHEREAS, one of the specifications of that contract required Computer Consultants to deinstall, remove, and buy all equipment from the County's hardware maintenance inventory list no longer in use as of June 1, 1996; and,

WHEREAS, this equipment, as listed on the attached documentation has become obsolete and unusable on terms advantageous to the County; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing recommends that said property be declared surplus; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 11170, the Director of MIS has negotiated a contract with Computer Consultants for the salvage/sale of said equipment as is described on the attachments; and,

WHEREAS, Section 1141., Jackson County Code, authorizes disposal of surplus personal property by way of salvage; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the personal property described on the attachments be and hereby is declared surplus; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, pursuant to Resolution 11170 and 1141. of the Code, the Director of Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to dispose of said property by way of salvage/sale to Computer Consultants of Kansas City, KS, for the total payment to the County of $1,135.00...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
