A RESOLUTION congratulating Mary Esther and Robert E. Brice, Sr., on their thirtieth wedding anniversary.

Body
WHEREAS, Mary Esther Courtier attended Gladstone Grade School and graduated from Northeast High School in 1958; and,
WHEREAS, Robert E. Brice, Sr., attended St. James Grade School and graduated from Lillis High School in 1953; and,
WHEREAS, while working at the Gas Service Company in 1963, Mary, a secretary, and Robert, a clerk in the meter department, met and on April 25, 1964, married at St. James Catholic Church, 39th & Harrison, Kansas City, Missouri, in a ceremony officiated by Monsignor Robert Hogan; and,
WHEREAS, attendants at their wedding included Peggy Courtier, the bride's sister, and Paul Brice, the groom's brother; and,
WHEREAS, Mary and Robert have raised seven wonderful children, Regina (29), Philly (27), David (26), Vincent (24), Robert Jr. (21), Angela (19), and Martin (16), and have been blessed with
two grandchildren, Rachel Nicole (10 months), and Kayla Marie (7 months); and,
WHEREAS, Mary was a homemaker until 1981 when she returned to work, and Robert was a meter mechanic with KPL Gas Service until his retirement in 1992; and,
WHEREAS, Mary enjoys reading and spending time with her grandchildren in her spare time; and,
WHEREAS, Robert loves all sorts of gardening and raises parakeets, orchids, violets, and hell; and,
WHEREAS, Robert and Mary have also enjoyed breeding dachshunds through the years; and,
WHEREAS, Mary and Robert celebrated thirty years ago with a wedding breakfast at Stephenson's, and will commemorate this occasion by having lunch at Stephenson's on their anniversary; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Mary Esther and Robert E. Brice, Sr., ...
