Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in the process of managing intersection improvements in connection with the Blue Ridge Boulevard and Wornall Road Intersection Project, No. 3086; and,
WHEREAS, in order to move forward with this project, it is necessary to acquire certain properties for road right-of-way; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to negotiations, Gary R. Walkup, Trustee to the Walter R. Walkup Trust, owner of property located at 13103 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO, have agreed to convey the necessary right of way and easements to Jackson County, MO, for an amount not to exceed $9,989.06; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends payment to the property owner in a one-time lump sum; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is directed to issue a check to Gary R. Walkup as Trustee for the Walter R. Walkup Trust, in the amount of $9,989.06, in consideration for an easement and right of way conveyance, pursuant to the specific direction of the County Counselor.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
