WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 120-95 for elevator improvements and additions at the Jackson County Detention Center; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest five bids thereon the following:

Messina Builders & Contractors Co.
Kansas City (Clay County), MO $403,298.00
Jenkins & Associates, Inc.
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO $414,326.00
Howell Construction Company
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO $494,807.00
Vision Construction Company
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO $508,000.00
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Schweiger Construction Company of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
