Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15526, dated July 11, 2005, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding with Service Employees International Union, Local 2000 regarding the terms and conditions of employment of members of its bargaining unit; and,
WHEREAS, Service Employees International Union, Local 2000, has transferred its public sector bargaining unit to Local 1 of the Service Employees International Union; and,
WHEREAS, the most recent Memorandum of Understanding expired December 31, 2009, but its terms continue to be in effect until a successor Memorandum of Understanding is approved; and,
WHEREAS, the County and Service Employees International Union, Local 1, have recently concluded the negotiation of a successor memorandum of understanding which will be effective until December 31, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Memorandum of Understanding reflects the entire agreement and understanding of the parties; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Memorandum of Understanding with Service Employees International Union, Local 1.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
