WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 49-00 for the furnishing of a self-propelled street sweeper for use by the Public Works Department; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon, bids from the following:

and,

WHEREAS, he has recommended that award be made to G. W. Van Keppel Co. of Kansas City, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of a new self propelled street sweeper has rendered one 1987 Rosco self-propelled chipper/spreader as surplus personal property; and,

WHEREAS, this chipper/spreader has become obsolete and unusable; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to ยง1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this chipper/spreader by way of trade-in; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
