Body
WHEREAS, Annie McGinnis's work as Vine Street Brewing's co-owner and business development manager helped turn the first Black-owned brewery in Missouri into a thriving destination in Kansas City's historic 18th & Vine District; and,
WHEREAS, now McGinnis will help shape the future of Black brewing nationwide as she continues to lead with purpose and impact; and,
WHEREAS, her appointment reflects years of dedication to growing opportunities within the brewing industry; and,
WHEREAS, through her leadership, McGinnis has helped create spaces that celebrate community, culture, and entrepreneurship; and,
WHEREAS, McGinnis has become a respected voice in both local business and the craft brewing community; and,
WHEREAS, as President of the National Black Brewers Association, she will have the opportunity to support and advocate for Black brewers across the country; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Jackson County Legislature congratulates Annie McGinnis on this well-deserved achievement and looks forward to seeing her continued impact on the industry.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
