Body
WHEREAS, Women's History Month recognizes the leadership, resilience, and impact of women who strengthen their communities; and,
WHEREAS, Amy Hall has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the Kansas City region through her service in recovery communities, her professional leadership at Pawsperity, and her commitment to uplifting individuals facing systemic barriers; and,
WHEREAS, Amy founded and chaired the largest women's Alcoholics Anonymous
meeting in Kansas City's District 7, supporting more than 200 members, and has personally sponsored over 70 women toward long-term sobriety, helping them rebuild their lives and form meaningful sisterhoods; and,
WHEREAS, she further served the recovery community as a board member for Kingdom Recovery and as a Sunday school teacher for four years, empowering individuals to discover their gifts and launch new ministries and community services that continue to benefit the region; and,
WHEREAS, Amy has supported Pawsperity's mission by sharing her personal story at statewide conferences and legislative visits, helping secure critical workforce development funding and expanding awareness of programs that transform lives; and
WHEREAS, as a Grooming Instructor at Pawsperity, Amy mentors students from underrepresented backgrounds, including individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness, incarceration, addiction, and trauma-using trauma-informed practices to ensure dignity, inclusion, and emotional safety; and,
WHEREAS, she has repeatedly intervened to support individuals in crisis, connecting them to emergency resources, preventing relapse, and ensuring their immediate safety and long-term stability; and,
