Body
WHEREAS, Jack R. Kuhn was born on October 17, 1923, and was raised by his father, Albert Kuhn and his aunt, Myrtle Goffinet; and,
WHEREAS, during World War II, Jack served in B Company of the 88th Division in Italy and upon being wounded, was awarded the Purple Heart; and,
WHEREAS, Jack's civilian career began as a volunteer firefighter for Raytown, Missouri, in the 1950s and he worked for General Motors until his retirement in 1980; and,
WHEREAS, Jack has held memberships in various organizations such as VFW Post 4242, The Cooties, Jackson County Ritual Team, Boy Scouts of America, The Dog Soldiers, Fire Brigade, Kansas City Fire Department Museum, Raytown Christian Church, and the Half and Half Class; and,
WHEREAS, Jack is loved and supported by his niece Sherry Yonke and her husband Al, great nephew Mike and his wife Chris, cousins Karan Pate, Sandy Donnelly and husband Bob, and second cousins John and his wife Tanya, Tim and his wife Carla, Patrick, and Kimberly; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Jack R. Kuhn on the occasion of his 75th birthday celebration and wishes him many more wonderful years.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
