Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office has a need for additional vehicles to supplement the department's fleet; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the purchase of five pre-owned 2008 Ford Crown Victoria commander vehicles and one pre-owned 2008 Chevrolet truck from the Missouri Highway Patrol for use by the Sheriff's Office as an acquisition from another government, at a total cost not to exceed $77,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the purchase be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
