Body
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit R-7 School District has been recognized by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) with twenty-two (22) schools appearing on the MAP Top 10 list, which ranks schools based on the percentage of students scoring at the proficient and advanced levels on the statewide academic assessment tests; and,

WHEREAS, the R-7 School District has had more appearances on the top 10 lists than any other Kansas City metropolitan area school district, holds the third-highest number of listings for any school district in Missouri, and has earned this admirable distinction every year since the program's inception in 2001; and,

WHEREAS, the Top 10 list includes a category for each grade level tested in communication arts and math, and is further divided into three categories according to student enrollment figures; and,

WHEREAS, R-7 elementary schools earning the Top 10 distinction include Longview Farm Elementary in the categories of third-grade communication arts, fourth-grade communication arts, and sixth-grade math, Cedar Creek Elementary in the categories of third-grade math, fourth-grade communication arts, fourth-grade math, fifth-grade communication arts, and fifth-grade math, Pleasant Lea Elementary in the category of third-grade math, Woodland Elementary in the categories of fourth-grade communication arts and sixth-grade math, Highland Park Elementary in the categories of fifth-grade communication arts, sixth-grade communication arts, and sixth-grade math, Mason Elementary in the category of sixth-grade math, and Westview Elementar...
