A RESOLUTION awarding a term-and-supply contract on Electronic Solicitation No. BB20039 for the furnishing of concessions drinks and juices for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Lenexa, KS ($7,500.00), and US Food Service of Lenexa, KS ($7,500.00), to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period, in the estimated aggregate amount of $15,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB20039 for the furnishing of concessions drinks and juices for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to two different vendors to ensure low pricing and the availability of a wide variety of products; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the respective vendors as follows:

Coca-Cola Bottling Company $7,500.00
Lenexa, KS
US Food Service $7,500.00
Lenexa, KS
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
