A RESOLUTION accepting the conveyance by Warranty Deed of a 15.81-acre tract of land adjacent to the Little Blue Trace and authorizing the County Executive to create a Warranty Deed in favor of Bell Development, Inc., conveying a 1.87-acre tract of the Little Blue Trace.

RESOLUTION # 10805, May 1, 1995 INTRODUCED BY Fred Arbanas, County Legislator
Body
WHEREAS, Bell Development, Inc., owns and operates the Family Golf Park on land adjacent to the County's Little Blue Trace; and,

WHEREAS, Bell Development desires to expand its operation by constructing a "pitch and putt" golf course on ground which includes a 1.87 acre section of the park; and,

WHEREAS, in order to acquire that tract, Bell Development proposes to exchange a 15.81-acre tract which it owns and which is also adjacent to the park; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation recommends this exchange of property because the property to be acquired to significantly larger and provides better access to the park than th tract to be conveyed; and,

WHEREAS, this exchange is subject to final approval by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources; and, WHEREAS, this exchange of property is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the conveyance by Warranty Deed of the 15.81-acre tract be and hereby is accepted; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute the attached Warranty Deed in favor of Bell Development, Inc.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
