Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17754, dated December 6, 2011, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Cooperative Agreement, in the amount of $50,000.00, with United Inner City Services (UICS), for child development and emergency assistance services for 2012; and,

WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4392, dated February 13, 2012, the Legislature did authorize the execution of an Addendum to the Cooperative Agreement with UICS, in the amount of $222,901.00, for additional funding for these services for 2012; and,

WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise the original budget presented by UICS due to changing needs within the child development program; and,

WHEREAS, under the revised budget, $10,000.00 will be reallocated from the supplies budget line to personal services to provide for an additional teacher's assistant to support children enrolled in the program in need of intensive behavioral support in the classroom; and,

WHEREAS, a Second Addendum to the Cooperative Agreement is a suitable mechanism to memorialize the budget revisions; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Second Addendum to the Cooperative Agreement with United Inner City Services, at no additional cost to the County, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement and Addenda thereto.
