AN ORDINANCE appropriating $90,000.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2024 Grant Fund, in acceptance of additional grant funds received by the Family Court Division from the State of Missouri Department of Social Services.

Body
WHEREAS, the Family Court Division has been awarded a grant by State of Missouri,
Department of Social Services for the period of July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025; and,
WHEREAS, the Division of Youth Services has authorized an additional funds amendment under this grant in the amount of $90,000.00 for the Parenting with Love and Limits Project; and,
WHEREAS, these additional funds bring the total amount awarded to the Family Court Division's Juvenile Court Diversion Program grant to $275,600.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Parenting with Love and Limits Project will combine parent education and group therapy programs with individual coaching sessions for adolescents and their parents; and,
WHEREAS, the grant amendment does not require local matching funds; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the additional grant funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the undesignated fund balance of the 2024 Grant Fund:
