Body
WHEREAS, Giant Step, Inc., has requested County funding in the amount $50,000.00 to assist with its program teaching mentally or physically challenged children who are unable to care for themselves; and,
WHEREAS, the County funding shall be used to pay a portion of teacher salaries; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund this program, a transfer within the 2008 Health Fund is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with Giant Step, Inc., at a cost to the County not to exceed $50,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following transfer within the 2008 Health Fund be and hereby is made:
