A RESOLUTION awarding a twelve-month term and supply contract for the furnishing of parts and service for Beuthling, Etnyre, Gardner-Denver, Hi-Way and Hyster equipment for use by the Public Works Department to G.W. Van Keppel Co., Inc. of Kansas City, KS as a sole source purchase. This award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 1040.01 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director Purchasing recommends the award of a twelve (12) month Term & Supply Contract for the furnishing of parts and services for Beuthling, Etnyre, Gardner-Denver, Hi-Way and Hyster equipment for use by the Public Works Department to G.W. Van Keppel Co., Inc. of Kansas City, KS as a sole purchase; and,
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 1063.00 "Sole Source Purchases" the Director of Purchasing has determined that the items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases is subject to annual appropriations; and,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
