Body
WHEREAS, the Kansas City, MO Water Department and the Jackson County Public Works Department have requested that the County grant two (2) new permanent utility easements of two (2) water main infrastructures along US 40 Highway in Kansas City, Missouri, located on property owned by Jackson County, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the two (2) main water infrastructures will supply services to the Jackson County Detention Center, and,
WHEREAS, if granted, the two (2) permanent utility easements will be the East side Permanent Water Easement Area of 3,263 square feet more or less, and the West side Permanent Water Easement Area of 5,267 square feet, more or less; and,
WHEREAS, the tap fees and additional water line fees were paid to Kansas City, MO Water Services by Jackson County’s General Contractor - JE Dunn Construction, as part of the new Jackson County Detention Center construction improvements project; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that said permanent utility easement in favor of the Kansas City, MO Water Department is hereby approved and the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the two (2) easements on behalf of the County.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
