A RESOLUTION awarding twelve month (12) term and supply contracts for the furnishing of pesticides for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to Vegetation Management Supply Inc., of Kansas City, KS, Helena Chemical of Lenexa, KS, and Grass Pad, Inc., of Olathe, KS, under the terms and conditions of Electronic Solicitation No. BB200495. This award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases is subject to annual appropriation.

WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has a continuing need for the furnishing of pesticides; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of twelve (12) month term and supply contracts to Vegetation Management Supply Inc., Kansas City, KS, Helena Chemical, Lenexa, KS, and Grass Pad, Inc.,Olathe, KS, as the best and lowest bidders by item; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. BB 200495 for the furnishing of pesticides for use by Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirty-seven (37) Invitations to Bid were distributed and six (6) responses were received of which one (1) was determined to be non-responsive to the terms and conditions of the bid; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bid from the following;
