Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution #13531, dated January 16, 2001, enter into a contract with Kansas City Motorcycle Escort Company of Kansas City, MO, in the estimated of $60,000.00, for the furnishing of body transfer services for use by the Medical Examiner's Office; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed First Addendum to this contract is necessary as Kansas City Motorcycle Escort Company is able to provide to the Medical Examiner office additional refrigerated and frozen storage space for tissue and blood specimens required by the office, and the cost for this space is estimated at $8,400.00 annually; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the First Addendum to the aforesaid contract is approved and that the Director of Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of this Addendum; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
