WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Department incurs certain costs of transporting prisoners on warrants by the Sheriff's Department; and,
WHEREAS, these costs are largely reimbursed by the State of Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to cover the costs of the transporting prisoners on warrants; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1998 General Fund:

Increase Revenue $190,000
