Body
WHEREAS, the County Counselor recommends that he be authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement with certain law firms to provide legal services to the County in certain new and ongoing matters; and,
WHEREAS, the lawyers and law firms for which Legal Services Agreements are recommended and the services to be provided, and not to exceed amounts for services to be performed are as follows:

now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Counselor be and hereby is authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement with the lawyers and/or law firms identified in this Resolution at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $50,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments, on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
