Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 106-99 for the furnishing and installation of auto/truck safety glass for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following:

Safelite Auto Glass Co. $16,533.44
Kansas City (Clay County), MO

Harding Glass $21,167.89
Raytown, MO

Kryger Glass $24,932.92
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Safelite Auto Glass Co. of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.
