Body
WHEREAS, the City of Independence, MO has a need for a permanent easement in conjunction with the installation of a water main along Valley View Road at the East Fork of the Little Blue River; and,

WHEREAS, the easement is for a fifteen (15) foot strip of land along the Valley View Road Right-of-Way approximately 580 feet in length and lies within the Little Blue Trace Park as shown in Exhibit 1 and legally described as set forth in Exhibit 2 attached hereto; and,

WHEREAS, the City has agreed to pay the assessed easement and processing fees at a cost of $4,480.66; and,

WHEREAS, the granting of this easement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the easement attached hereto in favor of the City of Independence, MO.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
