Body
WHEREAS, YouthNet has been awarded a private grant from the Kauffman Foundation, in the amount of $250,000.00, to be used in connection with its core operating costs associated with building quality assurance infrastructure; and,
WHEREAS, these funds will assist in the development of demonstration sites, in determining accurate budget costs to support quality youth development programs, and determine which providers will operate, hire, train and identify, specific programs at the sites; and,
WHEREAS, YouthNet has requested matching funds in the amount of $100,000.00 to continue its program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, with YouthNet for its core operating costs associated with building quality assurance infrastructure; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
