Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13428, dated November 13, 2000, the Legislature authorized a contract with County Court Services, Inc., of Kansas City, MO, for the furnishing of drug treatment services for use by the Jackson County Drug Court; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has recommended an increase to this contract in the amount of $600,000.00, and that the term of this Agreement be extended through September 30, 2002, in order to allow County Court Services to continue providing treatment/counseling services to participants of the Jackson County Drug Court program; and,
WHEREAS, the attached First Addendum to Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the Prosecuting Attorney's recommendation in this regard; therefore,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments on the Agreement, as amended.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
