Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 9412, dated September 28, 1990, the Legislature adopted a request by the City of Independence which made the Salisbury Road and Crysler Avenue improvements a priority; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature found that these projects proposed by the City will benefit the citizens of Independence and the citizens of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to fund the recommended improvements; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 County Urban Road System Fund:
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION CHARACTER/DESCRIPTION FROM TO
Unappropriated Surplus $550,000 Div. of Administration Public Works Dept. County Urban Road System Independence City Projects $550,000
and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to issue his check in the amount of $550,000.00 to the City of Independence to cover the
cost of these improvements.
Attorney Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
