Body
WHEREAS, Section 1040.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1063.00 of the Code requires notification of and approval by the Legislature on such sole source purchases exceeding $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends a contract with Titleist Drawer CS of Atlanta, GA, for the furnishing of range golf balls for use by the Parks and Recreation Department at Longview Golf Course; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director further recommends that he not take competitive bids with regard to said contract for the reason that Titleist Drawer CS of Atlanta, GA is the only known supplier of the range golf balls desired, as set forth in the attached justification; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Purchasing Director be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County a contract with Titleist Drawer CS of Atlanta, GA for the furnishing of range golf balls for use by the Parks and Recreation Department at Longview Golf Course; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
